   Another new update is Aubrey will be apart of the University of Florida study for the Ketogenic Diet. It seems like a good way to go now with her and we have heard a lot of positive things about this diet as well. I will add some information on the Ketogenic Diet to this website for other families interested in this diet or have any stories about it.

As of today July 13th, 2009 Aubrey has brought to our attention that her "drop attacks" or seizures are back for the 5th time now. We have contacted her neurologist to see what he would like us to do, so all we can do is just wait and be patient.

 

Now keep in mind Aubrey just finished her 4th round of ACTH a month ago and they have returned again. So it comes down to I guess trying to figure out a different approach to these seizures or this is something we will just have to continue to deal with.

 

Shands at the University of Florida has been more than helpful through this whole process and we cannot be more than thankful for everything they have done of us and the other families there as well.

 

On a different note Aubrey was showing signs of getting up and walking on her own a week ago, but now we're afraid she is starting to regress from these seizures already. So we will just pray and keep our fingers crossed all goes well and we can figure this out.
